For applying in person in the Consulate, please follow the instructions below:
An applicant MUST visit the Consulate General in person to complete procedures. Applicants under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by parents.
The biometrics enrollment is only applicable for first-time passport applications.
The fingerprints of the applicant will be obtained by the consulate staff. That is why the physical presence of each applicant is required.
If you already hold an existing valid Afghan Passport, Biometrics is no longer required.

Important Note: At the instruction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, all Afghan absentee ID Cards (Tazkira) that have been issued without obtaining a letter from one of Afghanistan’s Consulates abroad are no longer considered valid.
Your most recent Afghan passport (Original version), NOT COPY.
If the passport is lost a police report is required, the report should include the full name of the passport holder and passport information.
Each application must be completed in clear BLOCK letters in English and Dari/Pashto. Ensure all details are accurate—especially Given Name (must match the Tazkira), Surname, date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY), height, occupation, and current address.
For applicants under 18 years old, the form may be signed by one of the parents.
One (1) passport-size photo 4 by 4.5 cm with white background taken within the last six months for each application (please do not send an old photo).
IMPORTANT: If you use a hard copy of the passport application form, please make sure to use glue to attach the photo to the form. DO NOT USE STAPLES.
A copy of your national ID, or a copy of your university registration if you are a student.
